The Pendleton School District is having its annual District Art Show April 8 through 10 at the Pendleton Convention Center.
The show kicks off on Monday, April 8th, with an Opening Night celebration from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. This includes a cookie handout and free books for students ages K-3 provided by Altrusa International of Pendleton. Students, families, and the public are invited.
Anyone can also visit the Art Show on Tuesday, April 9th, from 8 AM to 7:30 PM and Wednesday, April 10th, from 8 AM to 3:30 PM. Admission is FREE.
Kevin Headings, Superintendent of the Pendleton School District, said he encourages the entire community to attend the show. “It’s a great opportunity for families to spend some time together, have your student show you their art piece in the show and enjoy art created by all Pendleton School District students,” Headings said.
The district thanks the Education Foundation of Pendleton for funding the art show this year. New display equipment used in the show was purchased through a Wildhorse Foundation grant for the Pendleton High School Art Department.
